Extremely funny Metallica set Jun 15, 2009

I'm a rock fan, and because of that, I collect rock items like this. I have the Mötley Crüe Deluxe Boxed Set, and also another action figures like Jimmy Page in his black dragon suit, so when I decided to purchase a set from Metallica I haved to decide between this one (the Smity Figure Playset) and the one from Spawn Toys. The Spawn one was based on the ...And Justice For All tour, and the Smity one in the Master of Puppets tour, so my decission was obvious: The one that includes a Cliff Burton figure was my choice. I have to say that this is not the typical very detailed set, the figures look like Lego or Playmobil toys, they are like cartoons, so if you're looking for a very detailed set this isn't yours... However I find it very funny and smily to have in my bedroom, and although is not so detailed as the Spawn Toys one, you can find some details like the Rickenbaker bass Burton used in that tour, the white ESP Explorer guitar Hetfiled was playing at that time, and the black Jackson guitar Hammet showed onstage in that era. The stage is exactly as the one the band display in that tour, and the band members are dressed in the same way as they were dressed at that time (just take a look at youtube and check out videos from the Master Of Puppets tour... You'll see some of these details...) Nice toy for any Metallica fan, I'm very happy with it and I recommend you to buy it.

This Metallica set is awesome! It is definitely a great collector's item for any fan. Personally, I'm a huge fan of them and their music, so i really enjoyed this product. Not only does it look really cool, but it also features an action figure of Cliff Burton, the greatest bassist of all time!(In my opinion)
Smiti has also come out with many other sets like these with bands like The Offspring, No Doubt, and I also believe that there's one of KISS as well but I'm not entirely sure. If you are a hardcore fan like me, you will also enjoy another set of metallica figurines that looks really cool and exactly like the band members. Unfortunately, it doesn't have Cliff, it has Jason Newsted. If you buy the boxed set, it has a stage with lights and sounds!
If you buy the Master of Puppets set, may you enjoy it and have a great time with it!

Well, this is the best MetallicA set such like lego ... It's amazing all MetallicA fan will have to buy one of this.

When I purchased this set I was a little bit worried about the size of it, 'cause the look like legos in the photo, but since they are MetallicA and come with Cliff It was OK for me. When I got the boz I was like "Holy Chipmunks!" This set is HUGE compared to what I thought it would be. Each figure is 8cm tall approximately and is decently detailed, although their arms are like legos. I really like this set beacuse it has the look n' feel of being in an 80's concert. They are definetly not the usual highly detailed collector's figures that one would imagine but this set is something different that can give a fresh touch to any collection.

Bought this Metallica playset as a gift, it went down really well!!
Whilst the figures dont really look much like the actual band members, it works really well and once set up looks really effective!
Any Metallica fan of any age would love this product and it makes an unusual and fun present.
You may not even want to take it out of the box, but either way it looks good!
