Awesome toy for the price!! Dec 26, 2005

"Mistress of All That Is"
Whether you're into Monty Python or just like this little guy because he's the Grim Reaper, you're going to love this toy. I bought it thinking that $5 wasn't too much to spend on a stocking stuffer, but I was amazed when I received it.
The toy is very high quality. The gray clothing is a soft velvet and sewn/cut clean. The doll is almost completely posable, which makes for a fun time. He's truly 14" tall, so he's ready to reap Barbies and the like.
No matter who you're buying this for, they're going to love it!

GRIM REAPER Feb 24, 2009
By G. Hunt Excellent ornament for one's desk at work or home. Wife did not want me to keep it at home, saying it freaked her out a bit. Knowing this, I feel that this was a good decision. Now just waiting for the responses from my co-workers.

Not picture-perfect but worth the money. Mar 04, 2011
By LAURENCE This review is for the 14" version.
While not a true replica of Mr. Death, aka The Grim Reaper, this 14" doll is a perfect fit for the Toe-Pincher casket/reliquary I made as a birthday present. The fingers of the right hand are long and bendable/poseable, as are most of it's components, including the scythe handle and blade. While the product description and merchandise tagging state Monty Python, it leaves a lot to be desired in a proper movie replica. The scythe is almost twice too tall and does not have a handle (the one in the movie had two). The face is white and semi-comical instead of more concealed with an aspect of being hidden in shadows. The clothing is a little too crisp and should be more wispy and tattered. If you want a generic grim reaper doll, this is your item. While it's not really worth paying royalties to use the Monty Python name/logo on something this "under cooked", it still worked for my intended purpose.
BTW, Mr. Death, aka The Grim Reaper is not from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", he is from "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life". Now, go find the fish.
