The figure is highly detailed. My only caution to buyers is when moving the arms. The way that Jack's jacket is designed, moving the figure's arms places pressure on the plastic joints and care must be used or the arms will break off. The plastic joints are not very strong. I say this from experience, both of Jack's arms broke within the day and I've since superglued them in place......

This figure does resemble Johnny Depp quite a lot! That Jack Sparrow "look" we all love from the movies is all here in this delightful figurine from Neca. He comes with a base you can stand him on (or stick his feet into, rather, which will make it easier to stand him up) and that base then becomes a piece of a "puzzle" which fits together with other character figure's bases. I do not own any of the other figurines from the movie, but the picture on the back of box illustrates how it all fits together and its really a nice display.
He does come with a hat, a pistol, a rum bottle, and a sword. Please note that these small items are removable and may not be suitable for very small children since they could present a choking hazard. That aside, you could put those loose items away and simply have a nice figure of Jack Sparrow to put up on the shelf or reenact battle scenes with. He stands about 6 inches (or so) tall and has movable arms, legs, and head. His hands are shaped to fit either the pistol or sword...and the rum bottle as well. The tri-cornered hat also fits nicely on his head and does not fall off. Its really quite cute.
I collect movie figurines and find this one to be pretty much top of the line in detail, color, and realism. There are plenty of "Pirates" movie figures out there on the market, but after some research I found this one to be the most practical and best-looking.
